DISCOVER CALMNESS, CONFIDENCE, AND SELF-COMPASSION.

Therapy for Anxiety, OCD, and Perfectionism in Marietta and Online across Georgia.

Something has you feeling stuck.

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stuck in overthinking, weighed down by self-doubt, or caught in patterns that are hard to break, therapy can help.

At Core Counseling Services, I provide therapy for adults in Marietta, Georgia and online therapy across Georgia for those struggling with anxiety, OCD, perfectionism, women’s issues, and life transitions.

You may look like you’re holding it together on the outside while feeling exhausted, disconnected, or constantly on edge underneath it all. Therapy can be a space to slow down, better understand what you’re carrying, and begin making changes that actually help you feel better.

The pressure to hold it all together is exhausting.

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed by overthinking, guilt, self-doubt, or the constant pressure to be perfect, you’re not alone.

Maybe your mind rarely slows down. Maybe you replay conversations, second-guess yourself, or feel like you’re constantly trying to stay one step ahead of everything. You may be so used to meeting everyone else’s expectations that you’ve lost touch with what you need.

When you’ve been carrying so much for so long, it can be hard to imagine things feeling any different. Therapy can be a space to slow down, understand what’s keeping you stuck, and begin moving through life with more clarity, confidence, and self-compassion.

Who I Work With

I often work with adults who appear high-functioning on the outside but feel overwhelmed, anxious, self-critical, or emotionally exhausted underneath it all.

Many of my clients are used to pushing through, staying busy, and taking care of everyone else while quietly struggling with things like:

  • chronic worry and overthinking

  • intrusive thoughts

  • perfectionism and fear of failure

  • people-pleasing and difficulty setting boundaries

  • guilt and self-doubt

  • low self-esteem

  • burnout and emotional exhaustion

  • life transitions and uncertainty

They’re often thoughtful, capable, and deeply caring, but tired of feeling stuck in the same patterns.

If that sounds familiar, therapy can help you better understand yourself, break out of old cycles, and start feeling more grounded in who you are.

HI, I’M HEATHER.

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS).

I specialize in working with Atlanta-area adults struggling with anxiety, OCD, perfectionism, women’s issues, and major life transitions. My goal is to provide a supportive, compassionate space where you can feel understood, challenged in helpful ways, and empowered to grow.

Whether you’re seeking therapy for yourself or clinical supervision as a therapist, I’m passionate about creating a space where you can show up as you are and feel supported in where you’re headed.

My Approach to Therapy

I believe therapy should feel like a space where you can slow down, be honest about what’s going on, and feel supported without judgment.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD treatment.

Together, we’ll work to better understand the patterns keeping you stuck, build tools to help you cope more effectively, and create meaningful change that feels sustainable in your day-to-day life.

Therapy isn’t about becoming a completely different person. It’s about helping you feel more connected to yourself and more able to move through life with confidence, flexibility, and self-compassion.

I specialize in working with high achieving adults who are ready to better understand themselves, break out of old patterns, and feel more confident in the way they move through life.

  • Learn to quiet your intrusive thoughts and ease the critical voice in your head. With the right tools, you can feel more in control of your emotions and your life. Learn more.

  • OCD can make you feel trapped in exhausting loops of intrusive thoughts and rituals. Using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), I’ll help you learn to face uncertainty with courage, reduce compulsive behaviors, and get back to living the life you want. Learn more.

  • You’re juggling so much but still feel like it’s not enough. Whether you’re navigating life transitions, low self-esteem, relationships, or the pressure to be everything to everyone, therapy offers a space to let go of unrealistic expectations, set boundaries, and reconnect with who you are. Learn more.

  • Clinical supervision is more than a requirement. It’s a space to grow your confidence, strengthen your clinical skills, and build your identity as a therapist. I offer clinical supervision in Georgia for thoughtful, growth-oriented counselors pursuing LPC licensure.
